Trained by John McArdle, Smart As You Think finished ahead of Tears of Joy in second with Tidy Prophet third and Savannah Moon fourth in the 2016 $100,000 LF Sign Group Handicap results at Moonee Valley on Friday 21st October 2016.
3 year old filly Smart As You Think, by So You Think out of Satirical Lady, jumped from barrier 11 in the 12 horse LF Sign Group Handicap field and won the 2040m race in a time of 2:08.34 with jockey Jamie Mott. Smart As You Think’s starting price was $15.00.
The Mark Kavanagh trained Tears of Joy, a 5 year old mare by Street Cry out of Lucida, jumped from barrier 8 with jockey Ben E Thompson and finished second 0.20 lengths behind the winner.
5 year old mare Tidy Prophet (Keep the Faith out of Bella Bellucci) finished third by 0.30 lengths after starting from barrier 5 and was ridden by Damian Lane and trained by Will Clarken.
