I hope everyone is keeping well, especially our Melbourne based family.

I read an interesting article for NSW businesses continuing to trade through the current stage 3 restrictions.

Why is this relevant?

I believe it is an excellent opportunity to leverage off what other business have learned in stage 3 & what companies like us (In stage 4 restrictions) can access & implement before the restrictions are lifted.

What have we been up to that could be useful to your organization?

Checking your local council for business grants:

-Frankston Council has fast business grants ($1500) to cover utilities, Council rates, telecommunication charges, insurance payments, professional advice, or signage.

-Business Victoria has a Support package initiative with various grants depending on your industry.

Becoming COVID-19 Safe:

-Greeted with hand-sanitizer stations and social-distancing signs will be part of the new normal for most business. A few A4 posters & verbal reminders will not be enough.

Safety & Compliance signage will be a basic requirement moving forward.

“In NSW: A slip-up on safety means getting slapped with a $5,000 non-compliance fine from health inspectors. If they breach it twice, the business must close for a week”.

Update the business basics:

Write a few blog posts for web & social media, doesn’t have to be groundbreaking literature, Start talking about what you do best & post. Could you keep it to at least once a week?

Reduce costs:

I know for us, we have reviewed our current mobile plans & with most working from home & reduced to WIFI the $150 per month phone plan doesn’t make sense, its a good time renegotiate for a better deal or swap providers.

I kid you not this is hands down the best way to improve your “organic SEO” for free!
